– Giving the summary of administrative place-names in Da Nang;
overview of toponymy; summary of Sino-Vietnamese words; overview of
ancient bibliographies consisting of Sino-Vietnamese place-names in Da
Nang.
– Collecting a list of Sino-Vietnamese place-names in Da Nang that
have existed in Danang since the 15th century.
– Analyzing linguistic and cultural characteristics of the Sino-
Vietnamese place-names in Da Nang. Then, the value of the Sino-
Vietnamese place-names in Da Nang is introduced and measures to
preserve and promote the value of the Sino-Vietnamese place-names in Da
Nang are proposed. At the same time, the study introduces a number of
methods of applying the database of Sino-Vietnamese place-names in Da
Nang to teaching and learning Sino-Vietnamese words at university.
– Suggesting further research directions from the results of this
research.
