This project aims to achieve the following research objectives:
– Contribute to the existing literature on the impact of crude oil prices on corporate investment
decisions and financial efficiency.
– Investigate the impact of changes and fluctuations in crude oil prices on firm’s investment
decisions and financial performance in different markets such as developed countries, developing countries,
Africa, America, Asia, Australasia and Europe. Our research also includes other factors that can affect the
relationship between crude oil prices and firms’ investment and financial performance such as firm
characteristics, oil producer or oil consumer, and the global financial crisis.
– Provide new findings on the impact of crude oil prices on investment decisions and financial
performance of businesses and some implications as well as recommendations.
